This is an excellent book which allows the children to share the author's secret, as they follow the keeper around the zoo, saying goodnight to all the animals. "Goodnight elephant, goodnight lion......". Many of the pages in this book are wordless as the illustrations tell the silent, hilarious story, which will have the children giggling. They will also enjoy commenting on what's happening, why it's happening and predicting what will happen next. The simplicity of the text, shown in speech bubbles when it appears, will have the children joining in very quickly and they will also enjoy reading in English for the first time.
